I did not check water canyon. Sourdough at least at the castle is running about 2 liters a minute. It would help if there was a spring box which I hear there once was but is long gone.

Panamint City Water Conditions 2/13/16

A friend and I took a hike to Panamint this last weekend. We saw that thankfully the spigot in the machine shop was reinstalled after someone had taken it off last year and just let it run. However no water was flowing. We checked the spring box and it's completely full and over flowing out the top....

My only trashing of the place was the poor placement of the items on the side of the building. I should have moved them somewhere like where the fridge and stove now are. But I did not trash anything in the building or leave branches like you say. I spent allot of time cleaning down every surface in...

I know I know we should live by the philosophy of ride it until the wheels fall off. But I just can't.

This is the sort of wild life encounter you should report to the local Rangers.

I had the same sort of surprise. I had been out there when the flakes were aggressively curved up and then I took someone else out there and it was completely flat. It didn't even have groves like your second picture shows. http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4047/4189043303_1dafcd70a6_b.jpg http://farm5....

Sorry Sparky but you have caught me just a couple years too late. I once spent all of my time researching things and doing a great deal of activism. I used to spend 6 hours on a single reply on these sorts of discussions and what in the end happened? Nothing... Peoples mind cannot be changed on anyt...

There is no point in having these sorts of discussions with me because we live in different worlds and that effects what you see as my outlook on military. 9/11 is an inside job to me. The war of terrorism is a farce. We live in a complete Orwellian society and thus I view the U.S. as one of the lar...

Don't worry MojaveGeek. I at least liked what you had to say. Lets be realistic about the miltary. 50% don't join for any other reason except that they are total losers and can't find anything else to do with their life. Then 40% are idiots who bought into the whole "we're the good guys" crap and wh...

I also don't see the logic of gutting the place of anything useful but not removing a single mouse nest. This is because I wasn't equipped. I had meant to bring my respirator so I could clear all that mess out of the kitchen but I forgot it. Last time I only brought screw drivers. Next time i'll br...

I don't think you will have any issues just taking photos but who can say when taking photos of people. There are all sorts of weird stories around this country with people who like to take photos of others. The trouble is most people don't know the law so they can get hostile saying you cannot take...

I remember the bit about foam badtux but I disagreed that it would be enough to serve the purpose necessary. I agree that removing these sorts of things do take away from the charm but it cannot be helped in my opinion. The kitchen may not look like it but it's in bad shape. Without some reinforceme...

Well we will agree to disagree on what should be done with the Hilton. Other then chucking the stuff into plain sight I don't regret any of the changes I made. And I still maintain that they were necessary even if they were being used by anyone. All I have to say is next time I propose radical chang...
