Great report of a very eventful trip. Thanks for taking the time to write this up and some pictures would be nice to see when you get some time to post them.

Yes you are quite correct that 60's and 70's are not "elderly" these days, and for the record, I too am in that age group and I don't consider myself elderly either. So there. Maybe define "senior" huh DVD?

Re: Badwater to Dantes Peak and back March 26th

Wow DVD, you are an animal. I'm surprised about the elderly couple coming up behind you after looking at your route on your video, they must have been in better shape than most. By the way, nice selfie but I still wouldn't be able to recognize you if I saw you in DV somewhere. My wife and I spend a ...

Very nice that you got such good footage of those critters, I hardly ever see them that they aren't heading out in the other direction.

Re: The Mystery of the Death Valley Germans - solved

Somebody printed the whole story and left a copy in the Geologist's cabin that my wife and I read one night while staying there. I don't know if it's still there or not but it was fascinating to read it and be in that same place where this happened.

Re: Edmunds tests Honda Ridgeliner in DV

It looked to me like they were driving quite fast on that road and the evidence is what it did to their shocks. I never air down our Jeep and it has AT tires but I do take my time on wash board roads and let others with less common sense go by when they catch up with me. I always see the Farabee Jee...

A lesson is to be learned from this video for all who drive too fast on those washboard roads.

Re: The Ranch at Death Valley - completed video update

Yeah, we were there earlier that same day and the place was way too busy for my blood, looks like we should have come back in the evening. A couple of days later most of the crowds had gone and it was much better to wander around.

Re: Vultures Buzz Death Valley Airport

My wife and I saw one of those critters at the mouth of Scotty's Canyon near Ashford Mill a few years ago. It was sitting on a nest in a creosote bush. I don't think they are all that rare in Death Valley. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/shdAliE-PNFFE4KYMskvKyCZq7G0W4o6AyvaQzVnVFzuI9qW7fDLA0CUGdac...

Re: Mosaic Canyon Road is closed through June 30, 2019

That's going to be closed through the whole winter tourist season. I think that's going to suck for a lot of people who want to see Mosaic Canyon.

Re: Nov 8-12

The Lemoigne Canyon road is really rough and slow so get an early start going in there. We were there in February so it may have gotten some storm damage this summer but it's always a fun slow ride, especially once you drop into the wash at the head of the fan.

We saw that graffiti when we hiked up there at the end of February this year. It's bad to see this get started in a place like this.

Very nice! Looks like the footing up on top was a little sketchy, was it as loose as it looked?
