Re: Eureka Dunes Photography Trip

Hidden Dunes are really neat to see. If you head out early and no one is already there the dunes will be footprint free. You probably wouldn't be taking your trailer out there. Make it a day trip from Eurkea base camp. It's also a great place to camp. I have slept out there twice. Very peaceful. It...

Re: Furnace Creek Chevron

So is it retaining the "Furnace Creek" name? Hope so. I don't agree with the name change of the ranch area to The Oasis.

Re: South Park loop road repairs in progress

I've got pics of that bridge and area. Seems it would be a lot of work to make the road so that the bridge is no longer needed. Removing both the bridge and chicken rock would open it up a bit more. The people that do the research online find out about the accidents at chicken rock and the potential...

The whole area was closed due to high readings of mercury and other toxins in the tailings. I was told that the entire area will be open. Yeah!!! I've heard several reasons for the closure over the years. Seemed like they just wanted people out and for the place to be forgotten. Glad it will be ava...
