I love mine!
I would like a taller slimmer tire than what I have but not sure General makes that type.

Neat pics. I haven't been to this area yet. Nice to see the belts still in place. Somewhat reminds me of Clair Camp, which btw is eroding fast. I first visited Clair Camp about 4-5 years ago. Returned this spring and large wood beatles were at work on the timber.

Great report and pictures. Thank you for taking the time to post.
I don't come on DVN often and I feel it is more for us folks who get back to DV more often than those who don't. Sad that people raise such a stink about trip reports.
My hat is off to you for all the solo stuff you do out there.

This looks like a great place to check out and gives me reason to explore the southern portion of the DV area. Thanks for the info.

I know this is an older thread but DV.net doesn't seem to get much traffic. I would like to know about these old desert survival techniques like finding water in desert as you noted above.

What a great write up about this incident. I was told it was a CIA training flight with water landings in San Diego and then a return to their base in Nevada. Whatever the truth may be there are facts which stand out and either way it is a good story. The end could have been far worse. I wonder what...

This trip is doable. I was up there Halloween weekend. We drove in from Ubehebe and the road was your standard washboard. Leaving we went to Saline Valley via Lippincott and even that was pretty tame minus the rocky section on the way down to the National Monument sign and some corner washouts. Lipp...
