I just cannot thank everyone enough for the input and suggestions on books and maps. Genuinely appreciated by me. The hunt is now on for some of the classics.

ETAV8R that is a pretty well stocked library you have. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Kurt very interesting information and a couple of great photographs. Did the rangers have any idea of what causes this to happen? Hope deep are the holes and how big are they?

Can you share any information on the low light shot, settings etc? Again great information.

Steve what a great hour or so of reading and viewing your photographs. Congratulations to you and your hiking companions for safely completing this obviously difficult hike.

Great information and I am sure others will appreciate the knowledge you have passed along.

We were in that area early in March and saw a Coyote crossing the highway. It indeed looked very thin and in search of a meal. It was the only wildlife we saw on our drive through. Definitely not one of the well fed "highway men". We live in area that has a large Coyote and Wolf pollution. It is a e...

Don't take any unnecessary chances of doing damage to your respiratory system. Perhaps keep a high quality face mask/filter in your backpack for those times you enter an area that you suspect may contain the virus. Lose your lungs and you will not be doing much hiking so take as many precautions as ...
