New CA Desert Protection Bill

There is a draft of a new CA Desert Protection Bill that makes some additions and modifications to the original CDPA of 1994. Few new wilderness areas, some new National Monuments under BLM control instead of NPS control. Looks like there might be a few road closures, hard to tell, but most existing roads I could identify are excluded from the proposed wilderness areas. I honestly can't imagine how any of this will ever be passed given the general gridlock, but if you are curious here is the link (links to maps and full draft from there): ... d88783dd2d
