You'll probably have to register to see it sadly, but sometime next week I'll have my blogspot account up and running so you'll be able to see a better report soon enough. :-)

That's a very nice canyon you found! Certainly some interesting formations there, and I especially like the Eye of Sauron :). Maybe I'll check it out on my way into DV in April!

Thanks for the great reports with all the photos!!

I didn't have a chance to comment on this yet as it was posted during my trip, but I thought your entire report with all the outstanding photos was fantastic. To me, this is what hiking in Death Valley is all about... exploring and discovering. Great job finding this area which I hope to visit in the near future.

Would really like to take a look at your report, but unfortunately your page crashed all of my browsers...

No problem loading the blog web page but the PDF over on the other forum has a bit more description, which is helpful. Thanks for posting all the pix. This looks like a visually interesting place - I bet the color would stand out more on a sunny day. Not quite certain what you were exploring though - these are canyon(s) on the south side of the pavement near the 4k marker? But you perhaps had to hike up hill up the wash to get into them?
