Indian Pass Canyon Coyote Skull - Bighorn Rack

Post by Death Valley Dazed » Fri Mar 02, 2018 9:52 am

February 23, 2018 up and over the Three Bare Hills dropping down into the north side of Indian Pass Canyon mouth and exploring ten miles up over dry falls, narrows, chutes, poison springs and plunge pools.

Thanks for our very own MojaveGeek for suggesting the Kitaro - Silk Road as the soundtrack!

Wow, very cool and a great choice of music. Have not heard that before.

Interesting week on the board. A low flying object in blue, strange flashes, great videos and some really fitting music. Adds to the mystique of the place. I long to get back.

Well done folks.

So I understand, you accessed this from the east and dropped in? You didn't ascend or descend the rims, right? Best look in pics or vid I've seen of this intriguing canyon. Will have to visit some day.
Thanks,
John

John, actually the opposite. Approached from Highway 190 which is west of Indian Pass Canyon heading east toward the mouth, east up the canyon to almost its apex, returned the same route except for a quarter mile from mouth exit, scaled south canyon rim wall and then down that ridge to desert floor heading west to my car parked on 190. Thanks for watching and for your comments.

Nice work, that's a good hike and a place I haven't been. Good music :)

Yours were still the only boot tracks in the upper canyon the end of March.
