Titus Canyon Lightning Vortex

Post by Death Valley Dazed » Mon Apr 20, 2020 3:05 pm

Exiting Titus Canyon into a thunder and lightning storm backlit by an orange sunset September 5, 2018. The lightning strikes are edited down to slow motion for better effect. The song is "Saw Lightning" by Beck.

I think it was winter 1981 as I drove out the bottom of Titus Canyon and the valley floor view opened up. Coming in from the north a hail storm was dropping hail in such a way you could actually see a dividing line of white moving across the valley floor. Now that was memorable but the cold that night was what I remember most of the trip.
