Might be taking a trip down to joshua tree this year. Does anyone have a good hiking book that they could recommend? And does anyone know of a good forum like this one for joshua tree?
thanks

On Foot in Joshua Tree National Park by Patty Furbush. It may be out of print, but copies are out there.

I went through this exercise last year, having not been to J-Tree since the 80s. Found LOTS of stuff online, though it takes a bit of work to sift through. If you're into peaks look at summitpost and Bob Burd's logs - but in reading Burd, mere mortals like me should double all his hiking times (he is a monster on the trail!).
