Can anyone identify this Death Valley bird I saw flying overhead in the Owlshead Mountains?

Looks like a Red Tailed Hawk to me, but I'm not well versed in birdies.

Red Tail Hawk.
Note the distinctive, er, red tail :)

Last week while driving north on Scotty's road we found a dead cinnamon teal (!) in the road, with a prarie falcon eating it; our friends a bit further up road saw two prarie falcons trying to chase away a red tail who wanted to steal the meal.

Thank you. I wanted to add that to my Wildlife Page but wasn't sure exactly what it was. Nice job IDing it you both.
