Tree in Trail Canyon

Post by Morrie » Thu Oct 01, 2015 2:21 pm

Hiking up in Trail Canyon I saw a lone tree in the wash that I assumed would be a cottonwood, but the leaves don't look like any cottonwood I've seen. What type of tree is this?

Looks to be an elm tree. Not sure what type though.
