The Twice Delayed March Trip

Post by Aedwards27 » Mon Jun 15, 2020 7:48 pm

Well.....here we are.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy (and sane).

I had to reschedule my trip twice, I am finally a go for June 28th-July3rd. This drastically limits and changes my options, I will also not be camping and will be indoors.

I have been at this time of the year before, and in September of 2018 the temperatures were the same.

I will be checking out 3 petroglyph sites around 1-2,000 ft. elevation between 6-8AM before retreating to 6,000 ft. and above each day. These are all less than 2 miles RT.

The big hikes:

A pictograph site in the Panamints (return visit to find the rest).

Another pictograph site in the Panamints (a new destination).

A petroglyph site high up in the Panamints.

Well I guess you get to go when temps are cooler... but then, with Covid, who knows when any of us who need to fly out will be willing to get on a plane.
