Can anyone report on current snow conditions at Telescope Peak? Would like to make a trip to the top next week, but don't want to drive down from Oregon if it's still the middle of winter up there!

I don't know what it is like now but I was down for a week and a half the latter part of March this year. We were at the trail head and very little snow left, especially compared to last year when it was closed past the Charcoal Kilns. We met a couple of hikers who had just hiked the peak with no problems. Might want to check the park page or call the rangers.

I think Kauri posted a TR with pix a few weeks ago, and it was pretty clear. Look in the TR section.

It was clear last weekend. I couldn't see any snow near the peak.

Haven't been up it in some years but have driven it with various sedans three or four times. As long as it's not icy... But much harder a drive beyond the kilns.

Went up there Saturday and Sunday. Road is in good shape actually. A little wash-boarding but no major rocks, depressions, or obstacles. A little rough past the kilns, but 4X4 not needed. The road to Mahogany Flat is passable in a passenger automobile, but a vehicle with a little higher clearance would be preferable. The snow that blew in stuck at higher elevations, but the road was dry.
