October visit

Post by bluegreen kayak » Wed Aug 30, 2017 9:24 pm

I was planning to return to Death Valley in October, staying at Mesquite Springs and hiking to Bighorn Gorge (with an overnight there somewhere there). However the park website says the campground is closed due to flood damage. Does anyone know how bad the damage is, and whether it will be open this fall? My thanks for any info or suggestions.

Not only that, they are looking for a camp host for Mesquite Springs starting in October. So, if that is where you want to camp, things are looking good at the moment :)
