Ryan Railroad Narrow Gauge - walk from Hwy 190

Post by Death Valley Dazed » Sat Mar 03, 2018 1:03 pm

The narrow gauge railroad from Ryan eastward makes a rail trail cutting through history. February 2018 stroll along the abandoned bed reveals geology and artifacts.

Thanks to our very own Candace_66 for suggesting this historic site to me a few years ago. Finally got around to exploring the path and enjoyed the scenery immensely.

That's nice. Did that years ago and I liked it Have you walked the baby gauge on the other side of Ryan? If not, you should! Looks like you didn't walk over to the cemetery? I also recommend walking the road to the top of the mesa, which then gets to an overlook of Ryan.
