Very nice!! I initially thought I knew where the big circle of rocks might be, but given your hint that these photos are of a location reached after a 9 mile hike I think my guess is likely not correct. I've encountered a few of those (rock alignments?) when I haven't been looking for them, in various locations in the park, and it makes me wonder just how many are out there.

There are TONS of alignments in the park. I've found 10 or so of them. Blinds are pretty common as well, however finding one intact to that extent was a big deal. I found it on Google Earth and made the trek.
The one pictured takes about 4 miles to get to. The older petros at the end of my post are the long hike!

An amazing selection of finds!
I've been looking for that particular set of pictos for a while!

Thank you for keeping locations under your hat and photos showing backgrounds that offer few clues.

I'm so paranoid about that stuff. One of those sites is only about 2 miles from someplace frequently travelled so I only go early in the morning when there is less traffic.
I'm even more protective than is probably logical because I was told about some of these by tribal members.

Thank you for sharing these photos. I'm not much inclined to search out petroglyphs and alignments in the Park (or elsewhere), so being exposed to them this way is great for me. Also appreciate your respect for the sites.

Didn't see these until now. Thanks for sharing! You have a real good eye and good info for this stuff; you're quite the hunter! I really like the pictographs - I have never seen pictos in the park. The blind and the alignment are real nice. Alignment is one of the nicest I've seen. I encountered some "sleeping circles" near the DV Buttes on my first time to the park and have not been able to find them again; I fear they may have gotten trashed.
The petros on the small rocks, which could conceivable be taken whole in a backpack, are especially worthy of secrecy. I have a real nice pic of my young son holding a bighorn, but we carefully replaced it precisely as we'd found it. Even I was thinking how sweet it would look on display at my house, but that would be so wrong.
