Saline Valley Management Plan proposal

Post by desertdryad » Sun May 06, 2018 7:54 pm

For those who haven't yet heard, and may be interested - DVNP has released a management plan for Saline Valley hot springs that is now open for public comment. Speak now or forever.... well, you know.

Seems like they kinda re-release the same plan every year. The last plan in 2013 has not yielded change to how Saline Springs is run.

One of the options includes ripping out the hot tubs....

But the one they called the "Preferred Alternative" doesn't do that.

They are required to essentially do 3 proposals: do nothing, improve, completely dismantle. If history is anything to go by, "Do Nothing" will be used. There are very few major differences from the plan released a few years ago, 2013 I think?
