Monday's (Labor Day - 9-3-2018) dusk dusty sunset from near the Beatty Cutoff looking over the Devil's Cornfield, Mesquite Dunes, Stovepipe Wells and Towne Pass.
The wind was blowing so hard from the southeast that I had to steady myself against a mile marker steel post to take this shot. It was another one of those fantastic Death Valley Moments, of which there are many.
Posting this at 3:30 a.m. from Stovepipe Wells underneath the lamppost so I can see what I'm doing. The free unsecured internet (SPW) is down so I'm using my iPhone 6's personal hotspot via at&t which is at four bars now.
I've got some fun trip reports and videos in the works after only two full days here and hope to add much more over the next three days.
Did I say that I love storm events in DV?
