Speaking of Star Wars

Post by Grzldvt » Wed May 20, 2020 10:04 pm

My grand daughters have gotten into the series. I have the original Trilogy - A New Hope, Return of the Jedi and the Empire Strikes Back in VHS. I converted the VHS tapes to DVD's to give to them. I could have bought them far cheaper than the amount of time it took me to convert them or, here is a concept stream them, But being a computer geek of sorts I had fun with it.
In the first one - A New Hope, I was simply amazed at how much was done in Death Valley. I recognized scene after scene. A friend and I did the Furnace Creek supplied map, but it seemed to leave out a lot of places.
So it was fun watching it and knowing exactly where they were at as the movie progressed.
I know Steve Hall has a detailed map, but it was enjoyable to see the spots knowing I had been there.
Looking forward to watching the rest of the series
Oh and I forgot how funny 3CPO is
Looking forward to getting back into the park to see the spots again.
